Why should you Bird?
Because of how fun and interesting it can be, of course! You probably see birds everyday and may not be aware of how many wonderful, colorful species you can see just when walking around. Birds are not only important to our ecosystem, but to humanity as well. What should I do to get started Birding?
All you have to do to start is just get outside and start looking! A pair of binoculars can help to see birds from a distance. Grab a field guide to birds of your area from a bookstore or your local library, and start making a checklist of all the species of birds you see! Learn about the different parts of a bird, and how to identify them! Go online to find groups of people sharing the interest in the hobby, and go on field trips with other birders! Finding a new "lifer" bird that you haven't see before can give you all the motivation to get outside, and start birding!
